From our friends at the University of Maine at Farmington:
This summer at the University of Maine at Farmington we are pleased to host a summer institute focused on Nature Based Education.
Friday June 24, 2016 - Optional Pre-Conference Workshops
You are invited to join us on Friday to spend the day connecting with other educators in the outdoors. There are four different options for an energizing day to connect in nature.
Saturday June 25, 2016 - Summer Institute
On Saturday we have a full day of sessions on nature-based education. The sessions are designed for a range of educators working across different age levels and setting. The sessions are interactive and will leverage the outdoors, so come prepared to explore. The day will be designed for educators-in-training as well as those who have extensive experience in the field. There will be opportunities to connect with colleagues to share learning and explore new ideas. The day will feature a keynote speaker, locally grown food, and workshops that will bring you outside to learn more about how nature based education benefits children and adults.
Attached you will find a one page flyer with more information, and the registration form outlining costs. Space is limited, so please submit your registration and payment soon to reserve your place. Please forward this email to colleagues who may also like to join.
