Over the coming year, I'm going to be spearheading an effort for my children's early childhood education program in Philadelphia, PA -- one that is already deeply rooted in nature-based play and learning -- to "green" the school more broadly: facilities, waste reduction, energy use, etc. I was excited to learn about the "Green Schools Initiative" which helped schools do just these things, only to find that this particular program has come to an end (http://www.greenschools.net/article.php-id=528.html). Does anyone know of a good replacement? Or, if not, are there some good resources or models out there for how to guide a willing school through the greening process? If your school (ECE or school-age) has done this, would you be willing to connect with some tips? Thanks in advance!
Alternative to the now retired Green Schools Initiative?
I'll take a look! Thanks, Natalie!
