The approaching Summer Solstice serves as a marker for seasonal change. With it fast approaching, it got me thinking about the change process we're going through at Shaver's Creek Environment Center, preparing to officially reopen, while implementing an evolving strategic plan over the past year.
I was recently reminded of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross' change curve/stages of grief and reflected on my personal professional journey over the past year. It helped me to process some challenges while also increasing my empathy as I thought about others and their place on the curve - we all process information and move at different speeds.
I plan on keeping the change curve in the back of my mind going forward, especially as our center grows and evolves in this evolving post-COVID norm.
