Climate Education Session at AMS (American Meteorological Society) Annual Meeting

If you plan to attend the January 2022 American Meteorological Society Conference, please consider submitting an abstract to our session focused on Climate Education (broadly defined to include many forms of education). Abstracts are due Wednesday 9/8/21. I think this would be relevant for many in this community!

Title: Accelerating Climate Action through Equitable and Just Education, Civic Engagement, and Workforce Development (Jointly hosted session between the 31st Conference on Education, the 35th Conference on Climate Variability and Change, and the Third Symposium on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)

Topic Description: Climate change is already disproportionately impacting communities across the globe, creating an urgent need to mitigate climate change and build a just, low-carbon economy. Through education and engagement systems, we have an opportunity to build climate literacy via youth, families, teachers, and community programs to enhance community resilience. This session addresses advancing climate change education and engagement with a focus on marginalized communities vulnerable to climate change.
