As climate change has become more apparent, there has been interest across the country to find ways to incorporate the topic of climate change into the classroom.

According to a recent NPR/Ipsos poll (, 86 percent of teachers and more than 80 percent of parents say the subject should be taught in school.

A few years ago NIEHS developed Climate Change and Human Health Lesson Plans ( A processor at the University of Ilinois at Chicago is doing a landscape analysis regarding lesson plans connecting climate change and human health.
