Please join us for the Civic Engagement eePro group meeting, Monday, October 4, 1 p.m. PT/ 4 p.m. ET. This is a great opportunity to meet other environmental educators interested in civic engagement.
Environmental education is all about helping people develop the knowledge, skills, values, and motivation to participate in civic life to improve environmental and social conditions for themselves and others and to help shape the future. Civic engagement can take many forms—from volunteering to register new voters to working with others in a community to solve a problem.
NAAEE has been exploring environmental education’s role in civic learning and engagement by examining how environmental education practices intersect with and complement civic education. This group meeting is an opportunity to share your ideas, experiences and resources related to civic engagement with other EE professionals.
See you there!
