Summer Reading List 2021

It’s been a while since I had a formal summer reading list for school. But, as summer rolls around each year, I find that the season calls to me to put together a list of media that I can enjoy while laying in my hammock or lounging at the park. If you’re anything like me, you might enjoy reading but struggle to keep up with new titles while juggling work, family, and well… life!

Inspired by the resource library at We All Count, I’m putting together my own summer reading list to grab a little bit of that nostalgic feeling and read some really great works. I hope you’ll join me!

Alongside some of the terrific suggestions from We All Count, I’ve got these on my list:

Decolonizing Wealth, by Edgar Villanueva

Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men, by Caroline Criado Perez

The Home Place: Memoirs Of A Colored Man's Love Affair With Nature, by J. Drew Lanham

Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer

2021 TrendsWatch: Navigating a Disrupted Future, by the Center for the Future of Museums

I’ll be checking out which of these I can access through my local library or via Libby (free book rental app).

What other books, articles, or even podcasts should I add? Will you be assigning yourself summer reading (or listening) this year? If so, what’s on your list?
