DEADLINE PAST - - - Review Draft: K-12 Environmental Education: Guidelines for Excellence

DEADLINE PAST - DEADLINE PAST

We need your help and input!!!

The K-12 EE Guidelines for Excellence were first published in 1999 and have been updated about every five years since then. We are in the process of revising these guidelines once again. The process is iterative. Our writing team developed a first draft. We invite you to review this draft and provide comments that will be used in the revision process.

K-12 Environmental Education: Guidelines for Excellence provides students, parents, caregivers, educators, home schoolers, administrators, policy makers, and the public a set of common, voluntary guidelines for environmental education. The guidelines support national, state/provincial, tribal and local environmental education efforts by setting expectations for performance and achievement in fourth (age 10), eighth (age 14), and twelfth grades (age 18) and by suggesting a learning framework for effective and comprehensive environmental education programs and curricula.
