Climate Change Resources for K–12 Educators

Enrich any subject with our virtual course, Climate Change Essentials for All Educators.

Presidio is on a mission to ensure that all students leave high school with an essential knowledge of climate change and a clear understanding of what they can do to address it. To realize that vision, they have launched the nation’s first facilitated online course specifically designed to equip K–12 educators with the tools and confidence to successfully incorporate climate change into their current curriculum—regardless of grade level, subject area, or state standards.

In the Climate Change Essentials for All Educators course, teachers will earn up to 60 professional development hours and learn how to:

  • Develop lesson plans that include climate literacy and align with district, state, and national standards.
  • Incorporate innovative, current, and relevant content into their existing curriculum to achieve increased engagement and student empowerment.
  • Help students become better critical thinkers and gain a perspective on how they can contribute to climate change solutions.
